Vinyl Underground has been established since 1994 after starting out as a small mail order outlet dealing in underground detroit music , it has grown into one of the main sources for underground music in the uk. We specailise in the deeper side of new underground music, with comprehensive coverage of all new US & european releases from detroit electro to soulfull new york garage to london's fusion nu jazz sounds.

Backcatalogue and old records are also heavily stocked here ,with the store split 50/50 old & new, our priority is on good music whenever it came out . We have 1000's of records in stock not yet listed on the site. Rarieties often come and go without even making the site as they are sold by aucton or wants lists so if you have a list send it in!

We also buy in collections if it is the sort of records we deal in. Personal callers are welcolme to the office, mainly on a friday or saturday, the weekend always sees dj's and collectors from all over popping in!

Abington street is the main pedestrianised street in northampton town centre, we are located inside "watts the furnishers" (no kidding!) which is just up the road from marks & spencers.

If travelling by car best to park in one of the many cheap multistory car parks(about 10mins from junction 15 M1).
If by train we are a 10min walk from train station - just head towards town centre. Any problems call the office.
